NOTE: This information is in separate from whatever Race Purses are available through the National CCS Series.
As promised, I am relaying all of the basic information we have regarding
Sponsorships for the 2006 RRSW/CCS Southwest season. All of the finer details
are not complete at this time so minor changes may be made to the requirements.
The following sponsorships are signed:
Racer's Edge Performance
Returning for 2006 is Racer’s Edge Performance sponsoring the MWSS (EX).
Dale Kieffer will be giving $200.00 certificates to the top finishing Expert on
Michelin tires at each race. To be eligible Racer’s Edge & Michelin
stickers must be on the bike and you must run Michelin tires. These certificates
are only redeemable with Racer's Edge Performance or Dale’s designated
vendor at our races.
Jim Cox Racing
New for 2006, Jim Cox Racing is sponsoring the MWSS (AM). Jim is giving
$100.00 certificates to the top finishing AM on Dunlop tires at each race. The
certificates are only redeemable at Jim Cox Racing for products and
services. You must also run Jim Cox Racing or Dunlop stickers on the bike
and you must run Dunlop tires.
Moto-Services
Moto-Services will sponsor the MWGP (EX). Matthew Wiley and Lenny Albin
will issue Moto-Bucks to the top three (3) finishers at each race displaying
their decals. The value is 1st - $100.00, 2nd - $50.00 an 3rd - $35.00. In
addition Moto-Services will pay a $500.00 cash bonus at the end of the
year to the class champion.
AJ's Performance/Tint Wizard
AJ’s Performance/Tint Wizard will sponsor the ULSB (EX). AJ Amman and
Lenny Beckman have combined resources to offer a $2000.00 year end purse. The
payout will be 1st - $1000.00, 2nd - $600.00 and 3rd - $400.00. To be eligible
you must run AJ’s Performance/Tint Wizard stickers on the bike.
Heatwave Cycles
Heatwave Cycles will sponsor ULSS (EX). Benjamin Ingram is paying a year
end bonus. The proposed value is 1st - $500.00, 2nd - $300.00 and 3rd - $200.00.
A few more details are still in the works at this time.
PowerStands
PowerStands will sponsor MWSB, (EX & AM). Charlie Hon will issue
Certificates for 1st through 3rd places at each race round for both Expert and
Amateur racers redeemable towards PowerStands products. The certificates
are redeemable at the rate of one certificate per product order. They are valued
at, 1st - $100.00, 2nd - $75.00 and 3rd - $50.00. In addition, Charlie is paying
a $1000.00 year end purse to be divided up among the top 3 Experts in the class.
The payout will be 1st - $500.00, 2nd - $300.00 and 3rd - $200.00. Racers must
run PowerStands stickers on the bike.
TEAM Arizona
TEAM Arizona will sponsor GTL. They will pay out based on year end points in the GTL combined class. Overall Champion $500.00, 2nd $300.00, 3rd $200.00, 4th & 5th will receive 1 free track day from TEAM Arizona.
Value Pool & Spas
Value Pool & Spas will sponsor LWSB combined class. They will pay out based on year end points to the top three riders, 1st $500.00, 2nd $300.00, 3rd $200.00.
Cobb’s Restaurant
Cobb’s Restaurant sponsors Lightweight SuperSport combined. They will pay out cash to the top three riders, 1st $75.00, 2nd $50.00, 3rd $25.00 at each event and a year end bonus to overall class champ. 1st - $500, 2nd - $250.00, 3rd - $75.00, 4th - $75.00 and 5th - $50.00
Cycle Exchange / John Tauzin - Most Improved Amateur for 2006
Racer Ed Jones is proud to sponsor this $500 cash award, to the Amateur who shows the most improvement in overall ability and race craft. Factors considered will include rider attitude, bike preparation and overall persona of rider and his/her race effort. To be eligible a rider must be a first year Amateur, must attend at least eight (8) of the eleven (11) races on the schedule and race at least one (1) race each weekend.
Faith69.com Money Shot Award
Faith69.com will be sponsoring a Money Shot Award for the Amateur Middleweight GP class for the rest of the 2006 racing season. Jack Frost and Faith will be paying $100 cash to the rider leading the pack through the first turn of the first lap. (As if turn one wasn’t exciting enough with the middle weight amateurs?!) With 4 race weekends and 5 races yet to go, that will add $500.00 to the RRSW pot for 2006. We are very happy to announce the addition of this new sponsor for RRSW and we want to thank Jack and Faith and Faith69.com for coming on board with this great sponsorship and putting cash in the racer’s pockets.
